Membership:
What if I was not raised Lutheran? All are welcome here! We believe that the gospel is God’s gift to all people to be shared unconditionally.
Do I have to be a member to attend regularly? Guests are always welcome and membership is not necessary to attend.
How can I become a member? Anyone who is interested in joining the church may contact the Pastor. Depending on your background it might involve a simple transfer of membership or it might involve some Lutheran instructional classes.
Communion:
Can I take communion? All baptized Christians who have been prepared through instruction, and believe our Lord’s body and blood are truly present in bread and wine are invited to share in Holy Communion.
What if I have Celiac Disease or am gluten intolerant? You may tell the presiding pastor at the altar railing that you need a gluten free wafer.
What if I can’t drink wine? There are glasses of grape juice in the middle of the tray.
Miscellaneous:
Is the church handicapped accessible? Our church does not have any stairs. There are designated handicapped parking spots. There are curb cuts in the sidewalk. If you enter through the main doors, one of the greeters will help you open the door to enter.
Is childcare available during the service? Children 3 years and older are invited to join our Sunday School, regardless if you are a member or a visitor. See the Sunday School page for more information. Children of all ages are welcome in the church. We do not currently have a staffed nursery, however, if your child becomes restless you may bring them to a play area located at the back of the fellowship hall.
3. Can I rent the church for a function/event? Yes, members and non-members may both reserve the church for a variety of purposes. People may reserve the church for a one-time event or a recurring event. You may contact the church at 413-536-3369 for inquiries.
