Pastor Deb

Pastor Debora L. Stein is the pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She began serving as our pastor on Sunday, September 17, 2023 and officially installed on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Pastor Deb served as a pastor for 13 years in Syracuse and a little over 4 years in Liverpool, NY. She and her husband, Ed, are ready to move on and continue their journey of faith here in Holyoke, MA.

She has 2 daughters, her husband has a daughter and a son, and together they have seven grandchildren.

Prior to becoming a pastor, she was a Marine and later part of the Air Force Reserves. She also worked in the business and managerial fields.

In her free time she loves spending time in the “great outdoors” hiking, bicycling, and exploring new places. She also enjoys reading, watching TV, and shopping.

Pastor Deb was officially installed as our settled pastor on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at a special afternoon service attended by many area pastors, the associate to the Bishop, the mayor , Pastor’s family, and the members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. A celebratory reception followed the service.
