SPYs: St. Peter’s Youth Society

The SPYs had the amazing opportunity to attend the 2024 ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. The event offered our youth an experience of a life time, with thousands of kids, just like them, who have the same needs, wants, and religious experiences!

See the photo gallery below for some key photos from their trip!

The SPYS (St. Peter’s Youth) have been a viable, active part of St. Peter’s since the church was founded. Comprised of young people from Grade 7 to college age, the SPYS meet every month or so and initiate service projects inside and outside the church as well as fellowship activities. SPYS serve the church as Sunday School teachers, lectors, lay servers, acolytes, crucifers, and ushers. Annual activities include hosting a Pork Supper, selling food at the Christmas Fair, having an overnight sleepover, going Christmas caroling to the church’s “shut in” members, selling “Super Bowl grinders” and having a car wash.
