SPYs: St. Peter’s Youth Society

Thanks for supporting us!

Watch out New Orleans! The SPY’s are coming!!!

In July St. Peter’s Youth will be attending the 2024 ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans.

The event will offer our youth an experience of a life time, with thousands of kids, just like them, who have the same needs, wants, and religious experiences!

As you can imagine, there’s alot of expenses to go along with such a trip. To support this effort, there will be a few fundraisers.

  • On May 12 there will be a bake sale to support the Youth trip.

  • CANS AND BOTTLES: Our youth will also be collecting redeemable bottles and cans soon. For now, we ask that you start saving them up at home. We’ll let you know when it’s time to bring them all in. We’ve even found a place not far away,in CT, that takes water bottles!

The SPYS (St. Peter’s Youth) have been a viable, active part of St. Peter’s since the church was founded. Comprised of young people from Grade 7 to college age, the SPYS meet every month or so and initiate service projects inside and outside the church as well as fellowship activities. SPYS serve the church as Sunday School teachers, lectors, lay servers, acolytes, crucifers, and ushers. Annual activities include hosting a Pork Supper, selling food at the Christmas Fair, having an overnight sleepover, going Christmas caroling to the church’s “shut in” members, selling “Super Bowl grinders” and having a car wash.
